Since starting the project of our house, I’ve come to the understanding that socialising won’t be on the top of the to do list and yet we have gotten to a point where I am not needed to help. One because I know nothing about plumbing and electrics and all I am really good for is painting.
Yet recently because of this I have turned into a social butterfly again, like I was before project house started. It’s been nice, popping round to friends and neighbours having a chat a cup of tea and such. Thinking I will only stay for a few hours and end up staying till the early hours of the morning, it’s good to get out of the DIY infested house where I feel like a spear part most of the time or I feel like I am in the way in my own home.
It’s so easy to get all wrapped up and consumed when you have something as big as DIY going on in your life but finding time for you, or with friends and family just to let off a bit of steam I find is the best thing that you can do. One for you and just so you have a break, get away for a few hours to forget and look on the task the next day more inspired with a fresh pair of eyes.
